The First Step – Your Invisalign Consultation

Your journey to a straighter smile begins with a simple, no-obligation consultation at our Rochelle Park office. This is where you’ll meet with Dr. Jason Schepis or Dr. Ryan Maher to discuss your goals. We want to hear what you’d like to change about your smile. During this visit, we will:

Perform a comprehensive examination of your teeth and bite.
Take precise digital scans of your mouth using our advanced iTero® scanner—no messy impressions needed!
Show you a 3D digital simulation of your potential results, so you can see your new smile before you even start.

Your Custom Treatment Plan & Aligners

Once you decide to move forward, your digital scans are used to create a highly precise, customized treatment plan. Dr. Maher oversees this process, mapping out the exact movement of your teeth from their current position to their final, desired alignment.

This plan is then sent to the Invisalign lab, where your series of custom-made, clear aligners are fabricated just for you. Each aligner is made from smooth, comfortable, BPA-free SmartTrack® material. You'll receive several sets of aligners at a time, each designed to be worn for about one to two weeks before progressing to the next set in the series.

Living with Invisalign – What to Expect Day-to-Day

This is where the magic happens! You’ll wear your aligners for 20-22 hours per day, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss.

Comfort: The aligners are smooth and fit snugly over your teeth, so they won't irritate your cheeks or gums like traditional metal braces. You may feel a gentle pressure for the first day or two with each new set, which is a sign that they're working!
Convenience: Since the aligners are removable, you can continue to enjoy all your favorite foods without restriction. Your oral hygiene routine also remains simple—just brush and floss as you normally would.
Discretion: The aligners are virtually invisible, so most people won't even notice you're undergoing treatment. You can smile and speak with confidence throughout your entire journey.

You’ll have periodic check-in appointments with us every 6-8 weeks to monitor your progress and receive your next sets of aligners.

The Big Reveal & Life After Invisalign

Once you've completed your final set of aligners, it's time to celebrate your beautiful new smile! The last step in your journey is retention. To protect your investment and keep your teeth from shifting back, you will be fitted with a custom Vivera® retainer. Most patients wear their retainer full-time for a short period, then transition to wearing it only at night.
